the project was conceived to support a small arts school in a rural area in the interior of southern Brazil. The ideal of the school is to develop in teenagers and young adults the idea that art is not just an artifice in big cities, it can also be born in the countryside, the heart and home of so many families that plant and produce food in big cities. the main concept was to maintain the characteristic of the large deposits and silos existing on the farm so as not to create a false identity of the place in the minds of users who are used to this type of construction. Transparency through glass was due to the choice to keep the space warmer during the most rigorous winters in the south, a region that faces cold temperatures of -3 to 0 degrees during the cold season, but still create cross ventilation during the summer days that can reach up to 30 degrees.
Located at the beginning of a valley, the building took advantage of the flatter level to create a connection between the open space of the field in front of it and its rear view of the beginning of the valley. The school will work for the children and young workers of the farm and for nearby communities and is part of the local incentive for the development of the culture and the root art of the south of the country.
